On August 2, 2011 a Coup De 'tat was accomplished in our Nation's Capitol! Our so-called Senators and Representatives passed a bill that supposedly raised the debt ceiling and set up spending cuts that would be equal to or more than the increase in spending.

Balderdash!!!!!! Once again those that are supposed to be representing us in our Constitutional Republic have played the shell game on us and it appears as if we are just going to set back and let them!

After weeks of screaming and yelling about how Armageddon would occur if the debt ceiling was not raised and threatening the most vulnerable and those who risk their lives for our freedoms the statists got their way.

We've got to have more to spend, the Democrats cried...

If we can't have more to spend we'll stop Social Security checks, military pay, and medicare! They screamed and pounded their hands on the table like the spoiled brats they are!

We'll DEFAULT! The World will come to an end! Those bums on the other side of the aisle don't understand! They have to come up with a plan! Why don't they just go along with our plan? Oops, we don't have one, we just want to spend more money, raise taxes, take no responsibility and get re-elected!

We see no need to cut spending, we have a revenue problem that is easily solved. We'll just raise taxes. And we want to do it on the richest of Americans. You know, those bastards earning more than $250,000 per yr. They're the ones who are getting off scott free!

We certainly don't want to get rid of the subsidies for the fat cats who will pay thousands of dollars to eat hot dogs with us at our fund raisers. (we just want those idiots in the middle to think we are going after the rich so they will continue to vote for us because we are on their side, wink, wink)

We can see no reason to do away with the current tax system and institute one that might be fair to all. After all, this system is what gets us the money we need to get re-elected! (Which shell is the pea under Mr. & Mrs. constituent?)

And the Republicans piped in...

We'll stop 'em! We are fiscal conservatives, the party of small government! We don't have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem. And that is the only thing the Republicans got right!

The Republicans correctly stated that the problem we have is a spending problem, not a revenue problem but that is the only thing they got right! When push came to shove they caved in and we got not only a raise in the debt ceiling; they helped deliver no meaningful cuts in spending and a coup De 'tat!

In spite of all their claims that they would stop the insanity if only we would put them in power the results we got for our efforts were less than acceptable!

Well, a few of the so-called Tea Party caucus held their ground while many caved like a sand castle at high tide. As usual those who stood their ground did so because they made a deal to do so because they knew their vote would not change the outcome. It was politically expedient for them to vote no, they are running for President (not Ron Paul, he means it when he speaks) or just one of those chosen to make us believe they are telling us the truth by following through. (which shell did you say the pea is under?)

After their vote to betray us many of those who ran on fiscal responsibility came out saying, "I did not like this bill, but it was the best we could do under the circumstances. We had to do something or else we would have defaulted!"

To this I say BULL! There is plenty of money to pay the bills. What they were really saying is..."If we had not raised the debt ceiling we would have had to cut somebody's favorite program and we would have lost votes."

They also say that they put real cuts into this bill that will reduce spending more than they raised the debt ceiling. Again I say Balderdash! Their idea of cuts is to reduce the increase in spending that they had planned for the next few years and even then they have done something that can't be done. They have tried to bind future Congresses to spending cuts passed by the current Congress. All that has to happen, and will happen, is for the future Congress to either ignore the cuts supposedly implemented by this Congress or pass new legislation that obviates the so-called cuts passed by this one. (maybe that pea is under the shell in the center, or not!)

Here's where the Coup came in...

But all the above aside, the real Coup De 'tat occurred with the part of the bill that created the "Super Committee"!

The "Super Committee" a gang of 12 current Representatives and Senators, appointed by Ried, McConnell, Boehner and Pelosi and chaired by the President (they won't tell us that, but we aren't as dumb as they think we are) that is charged with taking over the Legislative Branch and crafting bills that can't be debated, can't be amended, can't be filibustered and if defeated can be overturned and instituted by the President!

No longer do our duly elected Senators and Representatives truly make the laws. They have willingly abdicated their duties to an appointed committee that can now do whatever they wish and they have no responsibility to report to their employers, you and I!

If this stands it will make no difference who gets elected in 2012 or beyond. The members of the Committee of 13 will rule the roost irregardless of our desires.

Let me pose this question to you now... Have you heard even just one' of our current Representative or Senators (Ron or Rand Paul excluded) have the courage to stand up and call this what it is? Of course not! They all agree with this coup and are happy to be rid of the responsibility of governance. They can now go about what they truly love and care about, GETTING Re-ELECTED!

And you know what? Most of them will probably get Re-Elected! Why? Because we are as dumb as they think we are!

If we don't stand up now...

We have one last chance to save our Republic. It truly is that critical that we wake up from our slumber and take our Republic back. 2012 is probably the most important election we will ever face. It is the last chance we have to rescue the Republic at the ballot box instead of at the end of a gun!

If we don't do it now the statists will have won and they will not only put an end to the Republic, they will take away our rights to Free Speech, Religion, Gun Ownership, Privacy, and all others guaranteed to us in the most incredible political document ever devised by mankind, our Constitution!

It is up to You and it is up to Me! We cannot leave it in the hands of others. Do you want to be FREE? Do you want your children and grandchildren to be FREE? If you do, then it is up to you to make sure that our Republic remains as the Founding Fathers designed it.

You must have the Courage to say, "Enough is Enough" and mean it! You may think your Senator and Representative are good guys, but look at how they voted on this issue and many others of recent days.

Did they vote for the Stimulus package that wasted 100's of billions of dollars? Did they vote for the TARP that put more 100's of billions of dollars in the hands of the very fat cats that caused the collapse in the first place? Did they vote for the Patriot Act which removed our Freedom of Privacy, the right to be Free from Unreasonable Search and Seizure and to be Secure In Our Homes? Did they vote against or do they not support auditing the Federal Reserve to see where they have squandered trillions of dollars by giving foreign banks and wall street cronies money that you and I will have to pay back while devaluing the dollars we earn by printing more and more of them to hide what they have been doing?

If they did, it is time to get rid of them! Throw the Bums Out! Replace them! Replace them not with more Democrats or Republicans, but with real Americans. Patriots who have the courage to stand up and say, "I am not with those who have created this mess! I stand apart and believe in our Constitution and have the courage to label myself something different." Whether they call themselves Libertarians, Constitutionalist, or just plain Independents the time has come to change the guard.

The only difference between a Democrat and a Republican is this: A Democrat will tell you he believes in tax and spend and wants to redistribute the wealth while a Republican will tell you he is for small government, lower taxes and wants you to keep your money and then, when in power, act just like a Democrat!

They cannot be trusted and need to be thrown out of office. Only you and I have the power to do that and it is time we exercised it! It has been said, "We get the Government we deserve." Don't we deserve better?
